Afronita

Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, widely recognized as Afronita or Stargyal, is a renowned dance artist from Ghana.

 Joining Dance With Purpose (DWP) Academy

In 2018, Afronita joined the Dance With Purpose (DWP) Academy after completing her Basic Examination Certificate Exam. She trained under notable figures like Dancegod Lloyd, Yoofi Greene, Mr. Shawtyme, and Quables.

 

 

Rise to Fame

Afronita became a social media sensation, posting dance videos on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. She performed with renowned dancers such as Endurance Grand, Lisaquama, and Richael.

Major Performances and Collaborations

She collaborated with musicians like KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Dope Nation, D Jay, MzVee, Becca, and Gyakie. Afronita performed at prestigious events including the Video Game Awards (2020), Afropunk Festival (2019), and Gyakie’s “Live Experience” event (2021).

Achievements and Awards

She won several awards, including "Best Female Dancer of the Year" at the DWP Awards and Ghana Youth Entertainment Awards. Afronita has been featured in TV shows and magazines, further cementing her reputation. 

Personal Life and Public Perception

Afronita keeps her personal life private, recently clarifying that she is not in a relationship with fellow dancer Champion Rollie. She continues to inspire many with her journey and dedication to dance, focusing on both her career and education.

 Launching Afro Star Kids Academy

After leaving DWP Academy in January 2024, Afronita later founded Afro Star Kids Academy to train young dancers aged 3 to 12. The academy aims to nurture the next generation of dancers, reflecting her commitment to dance education.

 

 Britain’s Got Talent Success

In June 2024, Afronita and Abigail, another talented female dancer, placed third in Britain’s Got Talent, showcasing their talent on a global stage.
