KillBeatz

Joseph Kwame Addison, popularly known as KillBeatz, is a Ghanaian music producer and sound engineer. He is a member of music group R2bees and is also the CEO of Legacy Life Entertainment, which has signed the Ghanaian musician King Promise.

Transition to Production and Early Recognition

KillBeatz switched to music production and was mentored by Ghanaian producer Kaywa. He earned his nickname "KillBeatz" from Omar Sterling (Paedae) of R2Bees.

Professional Development

KillBeatz showcased his skills to a studio manager, who was impressed with his production abilities. He started working in the studio, quickly gaining popularity and surpassing other producers in demand.

Breakthrough in Azonto Genre

In 2012, KillBeatz played a pivotal role in popularizing the Azonto music genre by producing beats for numerous Azonto songs.

International Recognition and Grammy Success

KillBeatz received production credit on Ed Sheeran's song "Bibia Be Ye Ye" featuring Fuse ODG. The song was part of Ed Sheeran's Grammy-winning album "÷ (Divide)" which won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 60th Grammy Awards in 2018.

Notable Collaborations and Accolades

KillBeatz collaborated with various artists including Sarkodie, Efya, R2Bees, Wizkid, and Ed Sheeran. He won Producer of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2013, 2014, and 2018.
