Korede Bello is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He signed a record deal with Mavin Records in 2014. Bello is best known for his hit single "Godwin", a semi-gospel and pop song which became a national anthem and topped many music charts across Nigeria

Early life
Korede, meaning "Bring Fortune" in English, was born in Lagos State. He successfully completed his primary and secondary education in the same region. At the tender age of 7, he embarked on his journey as a performer, adopting the stage name African Prince.

Having studied Mass Communication at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and earning a Higher National Diploma certificate, Korede Bello is now an Associate Member of the Institute of Information Management.

Korede Bello's musical journey began with the positive reception of his first single, leading to collaboration with Don Jazzy and subsequent signing with Mavin Records in 2014; he achieved notable success with hit songs like "African Princess" and "Godwin," and received Gold Certification Awards from RIAA for "Do Like That" in 2021, while also earning a Gold Award Certification in Canada in 2022 before departing from Mavin Records.

In 2015, the Nigerian Police Force appointed him as its inaugural Youth Ambassador under the leadership of Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase. Three years later, in 2018, Korede Bello was honored with the title of Honorary Superintendent of Police by the same IGP.

During his time in primary school, Korede Bello formed a music group with a friend, and it was during this period that he wrote his first song. As he progressed to secondary school, he began to pursue music professionally by recording songs in the studio. His first single, "Forever," was released during this phase. In 2017, Korede launched his debut album titled "Belloved." Notably, in 2016, his popular track "Do Like That" achieved gold certification in Canada.
