After completing his early education in Ghana, he ventured abroad to the United Kingdom to pursue a degree in law. Upon completion, he was called to both the Middle Temple and the Ghana Bar. However, tragedy struck in 1997 when Greenstreet was involved in a life-altering accident on the Tema Motorway, leaving him reliant on a wheelchair ever since.

In 2016, Greenstreet made history by becoming the first physically challenged person to contest for the presidency in Ghana. He secured the CPP's presidential nomination, garnering significant support within the party.
