Emmanuel Kwabena Marfo

Emmanuel Kwabena Marfo is a Ghanaian politician and Member of Parliament representing Oforikrom Constituency and is also a member of the Forest Plantation Development Fund Management Board.

Early life and education

Emmanuel Marfo, born in Bonwire, Ghana, earned a BSc in Natural Resource Management, an MSc in Forest Policy from KNUST, and a PhD in Environmental Policy from Wageningen University.



Emmanuel Marfo, formerly Principal Scientist for CSIR-Forestry Research Institute, is now an MP for Oforikrom Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Political life

Emmanuel Marfo won the 2016 NPP parliamentary primaries and retained his seat in the Oforikrom Constituency in Ghana's 2020 general elections.


Marfo holds several positions, including Chairperson of the Environment, Science and Technology Committee and member of various other committees.
