Otumfuo-Yere Julia Osei Tutu is the princess consort of the Ashanti Kingdom. She is the wife of Asantehene Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II

Professional Career and Humanitarian Commitment

Lady Julia's professional journey has been equally illustrious. She began her career as a Teaching Assistant in International Law at the University of Ghana, Legon, followed by private practice at Agyemang and Associates, a prominent law firm in Accra. Her expertise in legal affairs later led her to Ecobank Ghana Limited, where she served as Legal/Corporate Affairs Officer from 1998 to 2002.

Early Life 

Born Julia Ama Adwapa Amaning on December 14th, Lady Julia is the youngest child of Mr. S. A. Amaning, a distinguished diplomat, and Mrs. E. A. Amaning. Hailing from Akyem Abuakwa in Ghana's Eastern Region, her upbringing laid the foundation for her future endeavors in law and humanitarianism.

Master of Laws (LL.M)

In her quest for deeper legal knowledge, Lady Julia pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Humanitarian Law at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Her academic achievements were complemented by practical experiences, including an internship at Amnesty International's United Nations Office in New York.

Fluent in Twi, English, and French, Lady Julia bridges cultural and linguistic divides, embodying the Ashanti kingdom's rich heritage while engaging in global humanitarian and legal dialogues.
