Eugene Kwame Marfo was born in Akim Oda, Ghana, to Alex and Juliana Marfo in 1997. Growing up, Eugene developed an interest in music and begun singing in church and learning musical instruments like the drum,keyboard and guitar.

Kuami Eugene participated in season 5 of MTN Hitmaker reality competition show in Ghana, finishing third. Shortly after MTN Hitmaker, he signed with Lynx Entertainment, a prominent record label in Ghana.

In 2017, Kuami Eugene released his debut single titled "Angela," which became an instant hit and gained massive popularity across Ghana and beyond.
2018
Kuami Eugene released his debut studio album titled "Rockstar" in December 2018. The album featured hit tracks like "Wish Me Well," "Confusion," and "Walaahi." He continued to release hit singles and collaborate with other artists, maintaining his status as one of Ghana's leading contemporary musicians.

Legendary High-life artist Amakye Dede crowned Kuami Eugene as his successor in high-life music at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
