Kontihene

Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng, known by his stage name Kontihene, is a Ghanaian hiplife musician. His debut album, "Nyankonton," featured the hit song "Aketesea," which won the Song of the Year Award at the 2003 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. This achievement made him the first new artist to receive this prestigious award.

Musical Beginnings

From a young age, Emmanuel displayed a keen interest in music. He began learning to play the piano, an instrument that would become foundational to his musical career. In addition to the piano, he also learned to play the saxophone, showcasing his versatility and deepening his understanding of music.

Emmanuel, under his stage name Kontihene, released his debut album "Nyankonton" in 2003.
