Eddie Nartey

Born on November 6, 1984, in Korle Gonno, Ghana, Eddie Nartey spent his formative years in the care of his parents alongside his siblings.

He began his educational journey at Korle Gonno Methodist Primary School before proceeding to JSS in Accra. It was during his time in secondary school at Holy Trinity Cathedral Secondary School that he discovered his passion for acting. Nartey started appearing in short films and productions, nurturing his talent. Subsequently, he gained admission to the University of Ghana, where he pursued Fine Arts and graduated with honors.

Eddie Nartey's career has been marked by remarkable achievements and numerous memorable performances. He has graced the screens in various productions, including "In The Eyes Of My Husband," "Passion and Soul," "Girls Connection," "Believe Me," "Testing The Waters," "Gallery of Comedy," "Love & Crime," "Last Battle," and "Intimate Battle 1&2," amongst others.

With his wealth of experience, Nartey ventured into directing and producing his own projects, building an impressive portfolio. Notable works under his direction and production include "Could This Be Love," "She Pared," "In April," "Beautiful Ruins," "Criss Cross," "Shattered Romance," "Royal Diadem," and "That Night."

In January 2021, tragedy struck Eddie Nartey's personal life when his beloved wife, Vida Obenewah Habiba Nartey, passed away. The actor openly expressed his profound grief, describing the experience as an enduring pain. Eddie and Vida had been married for two years, making her loss all the more heart-wrenching.

In a beautiful celebration of love and new beginnings, Ghanaian actor, director, and film producer Eddie Nartey tied the knot once again on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
