Nana Yaw Konadu Yeboah

Nana Yaw Konadu Yeboah is a retired Ghanaian boxer who competed professionally from 1985 to 2001. 

Professional career

Konadu began his professional boxing career on May 5, 1985. In his 15th professional fight, he secured victory over former champion Cesar Polanco, claiming the WBC International super flyweight title.

WBC super-flyweight Title

On November 7, 1989, Konadu claimed the WBC and Lineal Super Flyweight titles by defeating two-time champion Gilberto Roman via decision. However, he lost the belt in his initial defense to Sung Kil Moon due to a technical decision after a closely contested battle that ended in the ninth round due to a headbutt. Despite a rematch in 1991, Konadu was knocked out by Moon.


WBA bantamweight title

Over the course of four years, Konadu achieved 15 consecutive victories, defeating notable opponents such as Juan Polo Perez, former champion Victor Rabanales, and Abraham Torres. On January 28, 1996, he secured his status as a two-division champion by claiming the WBA bantamweight title with a TKO victory over Veeraphol Sahaprom, who later enjoyed a lengthy reign as champion.
