Martha Ankomah

Martha Ankomah was born on October 10, 1985, in Accra, Ghana.

After attending Adabraka Presbyterian Junior Secondary School, Martha Ankomah proceeded to Labone Senior High School. Following her completion of high school, she pursued higher education at Jayee University College, where she obtained a degree in Public Relations.

Martha Ankomah embarked on her acting journey at a tender age, specifically during her time in Class 6, where she made her debut in the Fun World Kiddafest held at the National Theatre in Accra, Ghana. Additionally, she showcased her talent in various theatrical productions such as Theatre Programs for Schools (TPS).

As she continued to flourish in the acting realm, Martha Ankomah transitioned to television series, leaving her mark in notable shows like:

Following her participation in numerous movie auditions, Martha Ankomah ventured into the Next Movie Star reality show in 2007, where she achieved an impressive third-place position. Building on this success, she embarked on a prolific acting career, gracing the screens in a multitude of films such as "Shakira," "Sin of the Soul," "Bed of Roses," "Heart of Men," and "A Trip to Hell."

Her exceptional performances have not gone unnoticed. Ankomah has received several awards and nominations for her acting prowess, including: “Most Promising Actor” at the 2010 and 2012 Africa Movie Academy Awards, “Best Actress in a Supporting Role” and “Favorite Actress” at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards, “Best Actress in a Lead Role” at the 2012 Ghana Movie Awards and many others.

Martha Ankomah's influence extends beyond her acting career. In 2015, Martha Ankomah founded the Martha Ankomah Foundation with the aim of raising awareness about children with autism. Building upon this initiative, three years later, she expanded her efforts by launching the Quality Education Project, which sought to raise funds to provide children in underprivileged communities with access to quality education.

Martha Ankomah also established a salon named "Martha's Place" located in Dansoman, offering various beauty and grooming services. Furthermore, she ventured into the business realm with the establishment of her own delivery company called Yaba Ghana.
