Paul Kwadwo Baffoe-Bonnie

Baffoe-Bonnie was born at Goase Mempeasem on 26 December 1956

He attended the primary and middle schools run by the Goaso Local Authority, where he earned his middle school diploma in the late 1960s. From 1969 until 1976, he attended Konongo Odumase Secondary School, where he earned his GCE Ordinary Level and GCE Advanced Level diplomas. The Ghana Law School followed by the University of Ghana were both attended by him subsequently. He described the three of them as "a trio of village law students" when they were in law school roommates with Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, a member of the NPP, and Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, the current Chief Justice of Ghana.

Baffoe-Bonnie was admitted to the bar in 1983. He served Kumasi as a Circuit Court judge. He presided over the Duayaw Nkwanta High Court. In 2006, he was chosen to be a judge on the Appeals Court. In June 2008, John Kufuor, the president of Ghana, appointed him as a judge on the Supreme Court.

Baffoe-Bonnie served on the Supreme Court panel that rendered a decision in 2013 rejecting the New Patriotic Party's request to throw out around four million votes from the 2012 Ghanaian general election due to alleged tampering.

His daughter is a doctor, and he is married to Pat. The impact from the Election petition outcomes earlier in 2013 tarnished the reporting of her graduation. His brother, the late Kwasi Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie, controlled Network Broadcasting Company Limited, which operated Ghana's Radio Gold FM.
