Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini

Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist and politician  serving as a member of  Parliament representing Tamale North 

Education

Alhassan Suhuyini attended GHANASCO in Tamale, holds a B.Sc. in Public Administration and an M.Sc. in Development Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

 

Career

He began his career as a radio presenter at Diamond FM in Tamale, later working briefly at Citi FM and Metro TV in Accra before joining Radio Gold.  He achieved recognition as Talk Show Host of the Year in 2011, 2012, and 2013, as voted by Ghanaian radio listeners at the Ghana Radio and Television Personality Awards.

Board member

Appointed in 2013 by President John Dramani Mahama as a Ghana Civil Aviation Authority board member, he later served as the Communications Manager for the National Hajj Council in 2014. In the 2016 General election, he won the Tamale North seat as a National Democratic Congress candidate with 67.79% of the vote, totaling 21,280 votes.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Alhassan Suhuyini is a trained teacher, underscoring his commitment to education and the development of future generations. In 2013, he tied the knot with Hamdiya Amadu Yakubu Vorsky, marking a significant milestone in his personal life.
