Kwaw Kese

Emmanuel Kofi Botwe , known by his stage name Kwaw Kese and popularly called Abodam (craziness), is a Ghanaian hiplife artist. Kwaw Kese is well known for his hit album Abodam 2007, for which he won five awards at the 2008 edition of the Ghana Music Awards. He is known for doing crazy- like acts during his performance on stage.

Record label and solo career

In 2005, he established Mad-Time Entertainment, his own record label, and introduced his debut solo album titled 'Na Ya Tal,' followed by his second album 'Abodam 07,' which was released under his label.

Awards

In 2008, he received several accolades including the Artist of the Year, Hiplife Album of the Year, Hiplife Artist of the Year, and Hiplife Song of the Year awards.

Cannabis smoking

In December 2014, Kwaw Kese was apprehended by the Ghana Police Service in Kumasi for publicly smoking cannabis, an act he admitted to, leading to his subsequent court trial, resulting in a one-day jail sentence and a fine of gh¢1200, which he was obligated to pay, on 23 April 2015.
