Education

Elvis Morris Donkoh embarked on his educational journey with a Diploma in Youth Development Work from the University of Ghana in 2008. Later, in 2016, he acquired a Postgraduate Diploma in Project and Quality Management from the Business University of Costa Rica.

Career

Elvis served as the Executive Director of the Alliance for Youth Development, an organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting the youth in Ghana. Simultaneously, he has served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency in the Central Region under the NPP banner.

Political Life

In the 2016 NPP parliamentary primaries, Donkoh emerged victorious for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency in the Central Region. This paved the way for him to contest the parliamentary seat during the 2016 Ghanaian general elections, which he won with 22,245 votes (50.7%). His victory allowed him to join the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.

2020 elections

Elvis continued to make an impact in Ghanaian politics, securing a victory in the 2020 NPP parliamentary primaries for the same constituency with 475 votes. Subsequently, he went on to win the 2020 Ghanaian general elections on the NPP ticket, earning 25,048 votes (49.2%). His victory marked his transition to the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. 

Committees

Elvis serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Mines and Energy Committee, where he plays a crucial role in shaping policies and decisions related to the mining and energy sectors. Additionally, he is a member of the Privileges Committee and the Trade, Industry, and Tourism Committee of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
