Kwame Addo-Kufuor

Kwame Addo-Kufuor is a Ghanaian politician and physician who served as the Minister for Defence and later as the Minister for Interior under President John Kufuor, his brother.

Early life and education

He received his degree from Cambridge University. He graduated from the institution with a bachelor's degree in medicine. Along with Jesus College, he also attended classes at the Middlesex Medical School Hospital.

Political career

Addo-Kufuor is a New Patriotic Party member. After winning the general election in December 1996, he was elected to parliament in January 1997. In the fourth parliament of the fourth Republic of Ghana, he was re-elected to serve as the representative for the Manhyia constituency.

From 2017 until 2020, Dr. Addo Kufuor served as the board chairman of SSNIT.

The 10th Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards for Ghana named him Outstanding Board Chairman of the Year for 2019.
